A voastra,

Andra

Don’t use images with makeups made by other people

I’ve been writing on the blog for a year now and I don’t know why I haven’t touch this subject so important within an article since now. I don’t know if the persons who do these things understand it, but I hope once again to help them through these lines I write, maybe they will change their minds or at least they will feel the tiniest bit of remorse.

I was determined to talk about this unpleasant subject since, last days I found that a person used an image with a makeup made by Sinziana Iaru as a profile picture since December, 2016, meaning that during 6 months he/she attracted clients with a makeup made by someone else. I am not going to publish the name of the person because in the meantime I got the apologies and honestly I still cannot believe it is HER who did this and I still think it was an oversight, or a short amnesia or I don’t know, something to justify her actions.

Persons like the abovementioned, there are plenty of them. Sadly, isn’t it?  Girls in the beginning of their carrier (or not) who use Pinterest pictures in order to promote themselves, pictures with makeups they cannot do and to which everybody comments “congrats”, and the person concerned does not even bothers to answer “hey, this is not a makeup I’ve done, I could try to make one, but this one is not mine, I used only to inspire and promote myself”. It would be so much easier to get out of the  shit if you would mention in the status of the picture the word “inspiration”. You would show that you still care about the fact that the makeup is made by another person.

This problem is also valid in the hair and nails and eyebrows industry and everywhere, but I am mostly interested by the problem of the makeup artists, since I like to care about them. I’ll be sure to give them advice on who to avoid such blunders and I’ll be sure to take care of the victims of such blunders.

To resort to the work of somebody else, whether it’s about a Romanian colleague or about any other work posted on Pinterest, is a shameful, frustrating and inacceptable thing to do. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO USE SOMEBODY ELSE’S PICTURE in order to promote yourself. It’s like selling strawberries, and in their presentation, you would send the customer to another stand. Not to mention that, in one way or another, the copyrights started to function in Romania and there might be unpleasant legal repercussions.

I cannot understand and the thought that someone could resort to such an act is beyond my power of understanding. Why? Is he/she thinking that nobody is going to notice? Is he/she thinking that nobody would recognize it? What is he/she thinking? What is the reason? If you know the reason, if this happened to you, if you come to my side or if you simply want to contradict me, I invite you to comment on Facebook, the place we all enjoy.

See you soon!

Yours,

Andra
